Through educational workshops, focused on environmental education for children, in order to make them aware of the importance of protecting the natural ecosystem. This will help to significantly reduce the generation of waste through prevention, reduction, recycling and re-use. On July, 2nd, at the paleontological museum Silvio Lai in Ceriale (SV), 17023, Italy, starting from 5 pm, there will be a workshop called “Un mare di Plastica…atto I, quando la plastica non c’era (“A sea of plastic... 1st Act, when there was no plastic”). “Billions of tiny plastic fragments are polluting seas and oceans in our planet: it is microplastics, the last phase of the life cycle of millions of tons of waste we produce every year, and it is a serious, growing danger for the health of marine ecosystems”. The workshop about creative recycling will be a nice occasion to talk about important issues and a good opportunity to visit one of the most important geopaleontological museums in Europe, which hosts a fossil deposit, known all over the world for its exceptional state of conservation and for the huge variety of stored samples, which date back to Pliocene (5,2 to 1,8 millions of years ago).
